Radio one have now announced Madonna is to join the line up for the big-weekend event in Maidstone. Rather than double post - more details can be found in the revolution group here at vox. So far 126,799 people have requested tickets....

What are the odds she swears at some point.

LOL - she will say those exact words funky monkey - £10 down if you offer good odds but we are really detesting Radio 1 at the moment for many reasons - mainly because most of the locals that have applied for tickets have been refused which is so unfair - radio one also asked all the local artists to get in touch with regards to the fringe festival events that were supposed to reflect the local music scene and most of them have been ignored - we hope it rains on their parade to be honest - it's a closed establishment shop thing yet again!

I'd rather hear some local acts then this GILF trash...

Granted it's Madonna but she stopped being relevant when Adidas Torsion were still being worn...

The book is closed on the profanity - I think it's a dead cert and I'm going to lose thousands...

A spokeswoman for Radio 1 said that 34,000 tickets were given away across the weekend but 518,000 people around the UK registered for tickets. As promised, the majority of tickets went to those in Maidstone and the surrounding area. Forty five per cent of tickets went to those with postcodes covered by Maidstone council itself and a further 40 per cent went to other parts of Kent, including those with Tunbridge Wells, Canterbury, Dartford, Bromley and Croydon postcodes. You had the highest chance of being allocated a ticket if you lived in Maidstone itself. For Maidstone residents, that is a 1 in 16 chance for Saturday, and 1 in 9 chance for Sunday.

Radio one are not playing straight because even though the people of Maidstone are paying for this event they have not been allocated tickets. They are kicking off about it in the local on-line press.

have not checked the link yet but as a witness she did rock the boat when she asked everyone if they were drunk - followed by - is anyone stoned and then for the finale - well you better start f**king it up out there - the times has slated her performance and said she was the worse act of the night - beg to differ - she made all the indie bands that preceded her seem very dull and bland in comparison - she put on quite a show but to each their own - now - better see what the sun had to say about it all as well

the times on-line report - as for the sun - they would drag it down to be about her breasts wouldn't they [tut] and the image they used does not appear to be of saturday night either !
